Have you ever had those moments where you knew you were heading straight into HUGE situation??

Your nerves are unsettled, your hands sweat, you can’t sleep, you can’t eat??

It could be many things such as:

  • A match against a really strong competitor?
  • A championship game?
  • A HUGE race?
  • A contest
  • Or how about even a huge job interview or test??

It could be anything.

The point is we all have things that get us nervous and anxious.

If you’re a highly competitive person, you can relate to what I’m saying.

For me, it’s ALL serious.

One particular instant I remember was a HUGE match I had against a kid back in High School when I was at the state wrestling meet.

I was just a little sophomore and I was going against the defending 2 x state champion who at the time, was on a 67 match win streak!

It was the semi-finals and if I could beat him, I knew I could go on a grab a state title in the finals!

There would be NO ONE else that could stop me!

It was what I had been working so hard for the whole season!

It felt like everything came down to this one match!

I was SO freaking nervous!

I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t even concentrate!

All I had in my mind was the match that was about to take place!

I went back and forth in my mind saying I could pull it off and but also at the same time I was telling myself I had NO Chance!

It was extremely exhausting!

I couldn’t wait for the time to come!

When it finally came, it was one of the best matches I ever had!

In the end, I didn’t win but I knew I gave it ALL I had!

That match made me even better!

In a loss, you learn so much more than you do in a win.

You learn things about yourself and what type of competitor you can be.

The main thing is, you need to be prepared to go into battle!

Here’s my training Day:

1A) Med Ball Throws 8 x 3

2A) Bench Press w/ Bands 6 x 4

3A) For Time – Crossfit WOD – “Elizabeth”

1) Squat Cleans by 21-15-9

2) Ring Dips by 21-15-9

Final Time – 6:15 – that was HELL!

4A) Toes To Bar 2 x 20

4B) Wheel Rollouts 2 x 15

This was a TOUGH workout!

I had it planned since last week so I knew what I was in for!

I knew what was to come in battle so I mentally prepared myself for what had to be done!

Make sure you do the same!

LIVE AGGRESSIVE AND GET STRONG!
