So it’s Day 3 of The Strength and Badassness Christmas.
Today is dedicated to a training tool that I feel is just another ESSENTIAL tool needed in everyone’s training arsenal.
The tool I speak of goes way back in time. It goes so far back before I was even born or even was a twinkle in my father’s eye.
This tool have been used for many years by SERIOUS trainees such as Olympians, Special Military Personnel, and professional athletes.
Today, this tool is gaining tons of popularity.
It’s crazy as lots of people think that these things are actually new when in actually reality, they are older than most of the equipment that’s currently out there.
So what are these tools I speak of??
====>THE RUSSIAN KETTLEBELL!
Pure tools of BADASS, OLD SCHOOL, STRENGTH!
There’s nothing quite like a nice set of old rugged kettlebells!
These bad boys build loads of strength, full body power, mobility, conditioning, and TONS of grip strength!
Don’t trust me? Try playing around with a couple of 60 lbs bells for higher reps and you’ll know what I mean!
On top of all those attributes kettlebells build up, you build high amounts of mental toughness as well.
Just the pure look and feel of a nice ol’ beat up kettlebell will make you tougher.
The more beat up the better! =========>
Another one of the reason’s I love kettlebells so much is that you can take them ANYWHERE.
What I love is that Kettlebells are so versatile and can be blended into any type of training program.
I like taking mine to the football field so I can mix in kettlebell movements when I do sprints and agility drills.
Here’s a quick video I shot a while ago…

Try this workout sometime:
1A) KB Clean and Press x 5 per arm
1B) 40 yard Sprint x 1
It’s BRUTAL and athletic! It’s also a great way to get your ass out of the gym!
Now, I can remember two Christmas’ ago when I got my first kettlebell!
It was a nice 50 lb bell!
It looked so nice sitting under the tree around all the other presents….
I immediately took it out to the garage and started doing swings, cleans, and snatches with it!
It was the first time I trained with a kettlebell so I’m sure my form was way off! But I had fun!
While most people sat inside playing the video games they got for Christmas, I was messing around with my kettlebell in the garage!
Ha! That’s the way I like it!
Since then I’ve been digging deeper and deeper into Kettlebell training. While I have yet to get certified (which I plan on doing very soon) I have continued to learn more and more about kettlebells and how to train with them.
I wish I had been able to of trained with kettlebells back in high school. Oh the possibilities! That’s why it’s so important to make sure the up and coming athletes of today get on the right training path and train with kettlebells!
The fact is, there are an endless amount of things you can do with a set of bells or even a single bell.
Swings, cleans, snatches, presses, carries, rows, squats, lunges, and even throws! Those aren’t even all the movements you can do! But as you can see, there’s a TON of things you can do!
Bottom line, you need to have a kettlebell!
I would do what I did a few Christmas’ ago and ask for a kettlebell for this Christmas!
It will change the way you train forever!
Live Aggressive and Get Strong!
