Well, here we are on Day 2 of The 12 Days Of Strength and Badassness of Christmas.

I’m not slowing down one bit.  I’m picking up the pace for today as I have an amazing resource for you…

One of the BEST books I have ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on when it comes down to bodyweight training, is CONVICT CONDITIONING.

Talk about a HARDCORE book that will get you results!

This book was written by “Coach” Paul Wade, who actually learned more about bodyweight training and taking his bodyweight strength levels to new measures by actually doing time in the pen.

It was either BE STRONG or BE KILLED…

Also, I don’t know about you, but one of the first thoughts that comes to my mind when I think of a convict is someone who is jacked up to the max.

Check out Robert De Niro in Cape Fear as a “Convict”

I know he’s not a real convict BUT rumor is that he trained with strictly bodyweight.  Doing dips, chins, push ups, and tons of pull ups.  Just like convicts do…

I mean, what else do you have to do when you’re locked up in the pen?

The truth is, bodyweight training is IMPORTANT for everyone!  Not just convicts.  That’s simply the title of the book.

After all, it is a catchy title…

I know getting ripped up, jacked, and strong takes time.  If you’re locked up, that’s all you have!

TIME.

But here’s my top 2 reasons why I think this book is 110% legit.

#1 – The Challenges AKA “The Ultimate Measures a TRUE man can achieve”…

  1. AT LEAST one set of 5 one-arm pushups each side—with the ELITE goal of 100 sets each side
  2. AT LEAST one set of 5 one-leg squats each side—with the ELITE goal of 2 sets of 50 each side
  3. AT LEAST one set of 1 one-arm pullups each side—with the ELITE goal of 2 sets of 6 each side
  4. AT LEAST one set of 5 hanging straight leg raises—with the ELITE goal of 2 sets of 30
  5. AT LEAST one set of 1 stand-to-stand bridges—with the ELITE goal of 2 sets of 30
  6. AT LEAST one set of 1 one-arm handstand pushups—with the ELITE goal of 1 set of 5

How many of those can YOU do???

I can get the 1 arm Push ups,  1 Legged Squats, Leg Raises, and Bridges.  But the 1 arm pull ups and 1 handed handstands have yet to be accomplished.

Which brings me to my second point…

#2 – The Progressions

Each of the above “Ultimate Measures” is laid out for you step by step.

Each movement is broken down piece by piece making it easy to progress to the next level.

If a complete beginner was to follow the steps that are laid out in this book, one would gain super amounts of strength in a very accelerated amount of time.

If all you have to work with is bodyweight, this is an ESSENTIAL read!

Here are a few more reason’s why I think Convict Conditioning ranks high on my “Badassness List”:

A) You don’t need the fancy equipment from “Globo Gym” to perform these workouts.  This leaves NO EXCUSES!

You know I like NO EXCUSES 😉

B) This book forces you to use the most POWERFUL machine you own – your body!

If you can’t become STRONG with what God gave you, how will you ever get strong??

There you go!

Yet another HARDCORE resource for you!

If you don’t know me by now, you know I like it OLD SCHOOL and SIMPLE.

You don’t get much more “old school” and “simple” than with Convict Conditioning.

I would strongly check it out, ask for it for Christmas or buy it for someone you know that needs to get stronger with their bodyweight!

Live Aggressive and Get Strong!

PS – Tomorrow I’m coming back with Day 3 of The 12 Days of Strength and Badassness with a essential training tool I feel everyone should have stocked up in their personal battle chest.
