It was a record hot day here in Omaha NE!

Heat index was well above 100 degrees.

I believe it may of hit 107!

This has little to no effect on my workouts.

I can’t let it affect me.

It’s beyond my control.

I could sit around and bitch about how hot it is and make excuses OR I can dig in, get after it and train hard!

I choose to dig in!

You know the saying, “When the going gets tough, the TOUGH get going!”

On days like these you just got to “find your grove” and keep pushing forward.

Finding the grove is when you get into the ZONE.  Nothing can get in your way.

Break through the walls!!!

You almost feel invincible!

I don’t know if you have ever felt this before, but it happens at different times.

For me I’ve felt it in football, wrestling, and baseball.

You know when you feel stronger than ever, faster, and more explosive.

It these special days you train for!   You hope that the training you’re doing can get you to feel like that all the time!

That’s why you can’t quit when things get tough!

You must push forward!

The harder you train, the easier actual competition gets…

Think about it!

Here’s my training day:

1A) Kneeling Jumps w/ weight 8 x 3

2A) Back Squats 6 x 5, 4, 3, 3, 1, 20

3A) Barbell Complex x 4 rounds
