Motivation is a Bunch of BULLSH*T
I talk with a lot of DADS who need to make changes in their life.
DADS who know they need to take back control of their strength, health, and fitness.
DADS that know they need to take more action in life, but just DON’T DO IT.
Typically the answer is “I’m just not motivated”.
Motivation is great and it’s certainly powerful when you’ve got it, but It’s not so great when you lack it.
Truth is, NO ONE is ever always motivated.
For instance, there are a lot of days when I’m NOT motivated to do much but yet, I MAKE myself do what I gotta do.
- Waking up early in the AM when I’m tired but would rather stay in bed
- Getting my training session done when I feel lazy and sore
- Prepping my food for the day when I feel like I’m too busy
- Pre-planning my day ahead of time when I simply DON’T want to
I’m NOT always motivated to do the things I know I need to do, but these are things I know I MUST do.
So when it comes down to MOTIVATION, it’s NOT motivation that will get you the results you want.
It’s the DISCIPLINE that brings you success.
Motivation plays a role, but it’s NOT the key factor.
Discipline is f*cking HARD.
No one wants to talk about it.
It’s not ‘sexy’ or ‘exciting’, but it’s what separates those who WIN and those who sit there and LOSE while they say “I’m unmotivated”.
So forget about motivation.
Do what you MUST do even when you don’t want to do it.
Do you want RESULTS?
Do you want to CHANGE?
PROVE that by developing DISCIPLINE in your life.
The motivation will come when you get consistent with taking action daily.
