I recently made a trip down south to the great city of Austin TX (ATX) where I met up with a bunch of other heavily motivated fitness professionals at the Real Biz Uncensored Seminar.

It was jam packed of solid and useful information I’ll be using to help all of my hardcore followers here on my blog, on my Facebook page, and twitter!

Who would of thought!  If you’re not on twitter yet, make sure you go there, create a account and follow me!  JUST DO IT!  😉

So along with the trip came the pain of having to drive for 14 hours there and back.  It’s really not that bad.  It was a good time to THINK as well as clear my head.

Most people use traveling as an EXCUSE to bypass certain things such as:

  • Eating right
  • Training hard

So they take the easy road and go ahead and SKIP training all together and then eat like S*IT on top of that.  Just because they’re away from home! That’s NOT an excuse to stray off the path.

You’re not one of these people are you??

Don’t come up with EXCUSES!  EXCUSES are a nothing but a form of WEAKNESS!

One thing that I realized on this trip is that I know now that my sole purpose here on out  is to help you rid your whole life of all WEAKNESSES.    As time goes by I’ll be digging more and more into how we will BATTLE WEAKNESS in all forms together!

Prepare to get STRONGER than ever before in all aspects of your life!

It starts TODAY!

With that being said, I want to get into a quick workout I hit up when I was on the road.  Like I said, there shouldn’t be any EXCUSES as to why you miss out on training even if you’re traveling.  I had a 14 hour drive and still found time to “get it in”.  In fact, I got in 2 workouts.  One on the way down and one on the way back!

The best thing I did was make sure to bring my kettlebell!  If you didn’t know, kettlebells are 100% portable which means they can go with you ANYWHERE, which also means you can train with them anywhere at anytime!

Notice how I’m ELIMINATING a ton of different possible excuses??

Think about it.  There’s no reason you can’t bring a kettlebell with you when you travel!  I’m talking by car of course!

I’m not sure if they would even let you on the plane with a 50 to 70 lbs kettlebell.  Plus it may be little pricey on the extra poundage cost….

But you see my point.  ELIMINATE EXCUSES!

So, I found a nice little rest area and hit up a quick little kettlebell / bodyweight workout on the way down to ATX.  It took me about 15 mins.  I hit it, stretched out for a short bit then hit the road!

It felt great to get out and move around!

Here’s what I did:

3 Rounds Of:

a)      Kettlebell Clean and Press 5 / arm

b)      Kettlebell Swing 5 / arm

c)       Table Jump x 5

On the way back up from ATX, I pulled over when I saw a football field just a little ways off of the main interstate.  Somewhere past Denton, TX called Valley View.  Either way, I hit their field up and got in another killer training session in.

I kept it real short and sweet:

21 – 15 – 9 reps of:

a)      Kettlebell Swing

b)      Burpee

c)       400 meter run x 1

That was a killer.  After I completed that, it was back on the road!

I can’t even begin to say how powerful this trip was!  I met up with old friends and met a bunch of new ones!

I look forward to the future as should you!

I’ll be back with another post on NUTRITION and how you can make sure to stay LEAN on the road.

Remember, it all comes down to ELIMINATING WEAKNESS.  One of the BEST ways we can do that is by ELIMINATING EXCUSES!

TAKE ACTION – Let me know about some trips you have taken where you have done your training “on the road”!  I’m curious!  Tell me in the comments!
